Aashritha: Where Compassion Meets Action
Step into the heart of compassion at Aashritha, where every effort is a testament to humanity’s inherent goodness. As a leading NGO & Charitable Trust in Vijayawada, we work towards a multifaceted approach to social upliftment. From nurturing the wisdom of our elders through dignified care at Aashritha Old Age Home to removing hunger with our Annadaanam programs, we leave no one behind. Moreover, we believe in the power of knowledge, offering possible assistance to children in their educational journey. And in our commitment to equality, we empower women to stand tall and strong. Let’s work together to spread kindness, hope, and strength to every life we touch.
Aashritha Charitable Trust Is Involved In Several Humanitarian Endeavours To Develop
Sustainable Solutions And Bring Smiles To People’s Faces
Our Community Service Initiatives
Our elder housing is a warm and welcoming place for seniors with personalised services to help them fight the challenges in their old age. With a 24*7 dedicated and compassionate staff, we navigate the complexities of their short-term and long-term needs.
Nutritious Meal Distribution
We strive to fight the prevalent hunger by providing, fresh and nutritious food to the needy and poor for free. With funds received from our generous donors, we hope to eliminate hunger in our country one meal at a time.
Sponsorship Of Education
The Right to Education is a fundamental right, but many children don’t have access to quality education. We hope to bridge this gap by providing books, conducting skill-development drives, and motivating people to pay at least part of the fees for underprivileged children.
Women Upliftment
Impoverished women, widows, and specially-abled females can benefit from our vocational training, like beautician or tailoring courses, career-oriented computer classes, financial assistance, and workplace safety awareness to become empowered from the grassroots.

Who We Are
The Story Of Aashritha Charitable Trust
Aashritha Charitable Trust, backed by the idea that real change happens at the ground level with tiny steps, was established in 2021, bearing registration number 117/2021. We are not merely a non-profit organisation but believe in finding lasting and scalable solutions to challenges that plague our society. Lack of access to quality education, basic medicine, properly balanced meals, or a roof to shelter people are some of the most prevalent hardships we see around us.
Under the umbrella of Aashritha Charitable Trust, we have already established an old age home, where round-the-clock care is dispensed to senior citizens in our care. We help them lead a life filled with dignity and joy where they are respected and celebrated for their intellect and experience. As an extension of our humanitarian efforts, we distribute hot and fresh meals for free to the discriminated and oppressed sections of society.
Overall empowerment and upliftment of every citizen are what we envision, and our agenda includes:
- Healthcare and personalised services to the elderly and acquiring more buildings for assisted living centres
- Financial help to children in less-than-fortunate situations so they can realise their dreams of quality education
- Delicious and wholesome food distribution and “Annadaanam” events to combat maternal and child malnutrition
- Career-focused skill training for helpless women and widows to become breadwinners and entrepreneurs

The Income Tax Act has a provision known as Section 80G that enables taxpayers to deduct a variety of contributions made as charitable donations. Donations to the designated non-profits/ NGOs and charity organizations are eligible for the Act’s deduction. When filing the income tax return, the amount donated may be deducted as per section 80G.
The donation would not be eligible for a deduction if it was made while the 80G registration of charity/ trust/ non-profit was not active.
Tax exemption donation reduces the tax liability of the donor by decreasing his/ her taxable income under the 80G section of IT. Only registered charities/ trusts/ non-profits are eligible to issue 80G tax receipts and it decreases taxable salary by 50% of the donated amount. Here’s an example – if your yearly taxable income is ₹7,00,000 and you make a donation of ₹10,000 then your net taxable income will become ₹6,95,000. Your income tax will now be calculated on this reduced taxable income based on the current tax rates.

It also helps the Income Tax department in auto-populating donation details while filing Income Tax Returns.
